Looking at the Model X, I am still far more interested in the Model S. I prefer the styling of the Model S. Also, the fact that is near production is a huge factor.
For me it's simple. Right now I need a car, not an SUV. Though if I needed an SUV, X is a very interesting vehicle.
It doesn't change my mind about the S, but I'm going to put down a reservation for the X tomorrow and see if the falcon doors grown on my wife.
I need an SUV, so I reserved one this evening (those attending could reserve tonight) ... Sig #3, baby!
I reserved production # 37. Seemed like they were pretty busy at the reservation area. I'll take a wild guess and say maybe 50 to 100 reservations were taken last night.
I like it, but I like the sedan better. The gullwings are cool, but like the panoramic roof more (probably can't get a panoramic roof and gullwings). Also I like the screen placement on the sedan better- it looks out of place on the Model X
A long time ago I had hard choices to make in the realm of cars: sportscar, sedan, SUV, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes, Mazda... Then I decided I would only buy EVs in the future, and there was one clear winner - only one choice. Everything was so much easier when there was only one choice. Now there are two. Oh the humanity!
Model S for the win. If I needed the seating and cargo space, the Model X would be a good alternative, but the sleek, powerful lines of the S speak to me in a way that the X does not.
Gulls and Falcons both fold their wings the same way..... And some of the press can't make up their mind what bird it should be:
