We own three model 3 in three different states. We have passed the safety check and received the Beta FSD for our Maui car. Do we need to start a separate process for our other two when we return to the mainland? Thanks so much

Only 1 Safety Score per VIN.

Since you have 3 different VIN, you need 3 separate Safety Scores. They are not interchangeable.

That means, since your first Maui car has passed the Safety Score, you are fine with that car.

On the other hand, your 2nd and 3rd mainland cars each need to pass their own Safety Score as well.

Thanks Tam…doesn’t make any sense to me…it’s the driver who is getting the safety check & why it isn’t transferred to our other cars that we have paid FSD charges is puzzling 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not saying which is more “fair”, but it seems Tesla isn’t just using safety score to test the driver. It’s the whole picture of how high a risk the car is in, of which the driver is only a part of the equation. A good driver in very risky driving environments has a higher risk of collisions than the same driver in low risk environments. That’s why safety score isn’t per driver, but is per car.

Also, this isn’t the FSD we paid for. It’s “limited early access” to help develop FSD. Hence why after only a short drive on it, you can easily see why releasing this in its current state to the public would be bad.
