Weird question, I know... but it hasn't been sitting right with me since I left the service center.


Dropped off the car to the emmc replaced due to the recall. Got the car back, it shows:

It seemed... very uniform and wrong to me. I know my tires are fairly worn out.


Door to the service center is locked, no way to get in and talk to a real person, started chatting via chat. I asked why the numbers are so high, and send them a few photos of me measuring them myself (all between 3-4/32nds)

O yeah, Tesla Mobile service from 2 months ago (and no, I didn't replace my tires...)

In the back of my mind if they cut corners here, are they cutting corners on actual work? Anyone else....
 
Funny, I just had a service appointment on Friday and noted the same completely bonkers depth measurements. They were way inaccurate, indicating much much more tread depth than was actually there (appointment was for an alignment before going to the tire shop for new ones).
