Does Tesla's AEB detect pets-sized obstacles?

I've had a deer cross in front of our MS AP1 last year. This was fortunately at a stop sign, while we were stopped. The car didn't recognize it. Now, the deer in the Oregon Coast is nothing like the Michigan Whitetails. What we have to watch out for are Elk and Black Bears... Nothing that size has crossed our path yet (whew!)

I thought AEB was a radar thing, not a camera thing.

From Onwer's Manual, camera is mentioned first then radar second:

"Automatic Emergency Braking

The forward looking camera and the radar sensor are designed to determine the distance from any object (vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, or pedestrian) traveling in front of Model X. When a frontal collision is considered unavoidable, Automatic Emergency Braking is designed to apply the brakes to reduce the severity of the impact, even if you are already applying the brakes. When Automatic Emergency Braking applies the brakes, the instrument panel displays a visual warning and you'll hear a chime. You may also notice abrupt downward movement of the brake pedal. The brake lights turn on to alert other road users that you are slowing down."
