I believe it does. The windows should say AGP and laminated on the window.

Yes - except for the small triangular windows I think. Those are made by "FUYAO" and do not have "laminated" written on them.

Although it may be a bit quieter, and help prevent some amateur break ins, it can pose a danger when you are trapped in your car after an accident. It is more difficult for you to break the glass from the interior, and for others trying to help you from the exterior. Since the exterior and interior rear door handles are non functional in a severe crash when the power is cut, it increases the danger that those in the back will be trapped unless they can find and pull the hidden emergency release cables for the rear doors. The glass probably will fit older models, but I am not certain.

Can you retrofit the new glass into older model S?

I am working on a tinting model and I can confirm the old MS glass has the same size and shape as the new. But not sure about the thickness and whether the previous gen MS can accommodate the thicker glass.

Oh one more thing - the windows(side) have holes at the bottom where they attach to the moving mechanism. That part is invisible so I can’t verify if that’s the same. One thing you can do is check on the Tesla parts website - epc.Tesla.com. If they have the same part a# they are the same.
