Does this article spell trouble for Tesla Motors battery supply?

The post that started the discussion speculated that Tesla would make their own cells in a few years. Norbert confused the issue a bit with the term batteries, GSP made the correction to cells, then you confused things again with the term batteries. Often the terms are interchanged but it can cause confusion, obviously. It's not really splitting hairs, it's communicating clearly. Personally I don't think Tesla will be making their own cells any time soon.

Well, Google tells me a battery is one or more cells. In layman usage you use something like a AA battery which, since it is singular, is also a cell and thus the terms battery and cell are often used interchangeably, though that's not technically correct. Interesting, I didn't know the nuances in those definitions.
