Does your SOC ever show higher than your charging set point?

Every now and then, after our MYP has fully charged to its set point, say 80 or 90 % and we disconnect the home wall charger, the next morning SOC indicates 2 too 3 % higher SOC than the evening before.

Could this be from a change in battery ambient conditions from evening to morning?

yes.. seems to be from rebalancing as you'll see more change after an hour or so and more change when the charge itself was significant (eg: 10% to 90%)

Yes, I've seen my SOC vary by up to 4% in both directions the morning after charging. For example I charged to 60% yesterday and it was 56% this morning. I've seen 80% go to 83% in the morning sometimes. Nothing to worry about.

To be clear, this change (which I have also seen) is almost certainly a change in calibration of the readout, not a change in the actual charge level. Precise measurement of lithium battery charge level is surprisingly tricky!

No, if anything it’s a wee bit low. Usually by only 1 or 2 percent. But NEVER higher.

Yes, I frequently see mine within 1 to 2% either way.

I usually see this too, and it could go either way.

I usually see 2-3% higher on the charge and I associate that with the preconditioning in the morning. On mornings where I don't precondition my batt is filled right to 80%. The wall connector will dump more juice into the car while your preconditioning.
