When I heard Dog Mode mentioned I was picturing the car would go into doberman mode when sentry mode detected evil-doers messing with your car and maybe instead of music to soothe the perps they’d get loud angry barking. Nice if the car could put some teeth into it too lol.

I did that ^^^ before I heard about dog or sentry mode coming...

If Sentry Mode gives a 360 view of the car, I wonder if TESLA will enable the 360 view while parking (i.e. Birdseye view) like many other cars, including non-luxury cars, have these days.

Tesla does not have a view of the area immediately in front of the car. Cars with this feature typically have a camera above the front bumper.

I assume that is Dog Mode.

I believe "Dog Mode" is same as "climate on" mode, but with the main display on showing the temp inside the car and possibly a contact number. Letting people know that the dog is safe and there is no reason to smash a window.

My BMW 340i had '360' surround view without the front camera. It used the down-facing cameras on the mirror pods and the backup camera to stitch together a view around the car that just excluded the area immediately in front of the forward bumper. It worked very well and was more useful than what Tesla is currently offering.

The overhead/360 thing is physically impossible in a Tesla based on the location, and facing angle, of the various cameras.

That’s unfortunate...Hopefully we get this 360 degree surround view feature with the right angle/location in the q3 update that’s scheduled to happen this year. Fingers crossed.

Any chance they could use the inside camera right above the mirror to get a close up shot of the person(s) breaking in?
Of course the hope is sentry mode will prevent break ins but we know that will still happen so a close up photo would certainly add to the deterrence factor.
