It's my understanding that spending dogecoin is considered a tax event, so you're looking at ~ 25%-50% tax on top, correct me if I'm wrong.

My understanding is you are only taxed on the gain of Dogecoin. Example you buy $1 worth of Dogecoin and it goes up in trade value to $1.10 overnight. You are liable to pay tax on the $0.10 gain.

The transaction however is just that a transaction. Instead of paying in $AUD you are paying in Dogecoin.

My question is how Tesla figure out the GST on the sale? Must be 10% of the Dogecoin value at time of sale?
