The one thing that many people don't seem to understand is that without competition there is no motivation to improve. This holds true for independent service centers and dealerships selling the same brand. In many ways it's actually more motivation since customer Bob can just go down the street and by the exact same car from people who care and treat them better. This lack of competition is proving out that when you're only motivation is to not get fired your production is bare minimum. The only way that this is overcome is if the message comes all the way from the top with a solid game plan in place. Elon and others have proven time and again that customer service is the least of their concerns so what you're seeing echo down through The customer facing representatives is exactly the culture being produced from the top.that’s completely awful! My first Tesla was in 2013 when customer service was better than anything I’ve ever found. I had my p85 for 3 years and stepped away from the company for a few years. Came back last year. That same service center that was amazing. It still is! (Thankfully) that being said they opened a new center that’s 1 like closer to my house and it’s awful. I felt like I was arguing with myself to get something done. In the end I took the car to my old service center and I had zero issues.
I agree with you in that if the centers don’t step it up tesla will lose customers. The thing that gets me is that every center is Tesla. None of them are independently owned like most dealers so I don’t get why the huge swing in his things are handled. (My guess is that it’s like the founder movie if you’ve seen it)
