Door handle getting stuck out

Hi all,

Late 2016 Model S passenger side door handle is staying out all the time. I noticed that it's catching on the door panel ever so slightly , top surface at the back, where it sweeps upwards. a light push will bring it back down.

Bring to SC? Or is there a fairly easy DIY fix?

Happened to me too on driver’s side after a family member pulled way too hard on handle when taking a test drive. Needs to be taken apart and adjusted by SC. Took them 2-3 hours to do mine to take door panel apart and adjust it and then test and reassemble. Worth it for peace of mind that things are as they should be again

Bring it to SvC to get adjusted or it'll scuff the chrome on the door handle. DIY fix will require you to open up the door panel and that will weaken the clips which SvC replaces everytime they open it.
