Door not opening

If it's enabled in the MCU, you might try rebooting, turning it off and back on, etc. If nothing helps, I had that issue with my 2018 MX and thought it started right after an update, but after several updates it still didn't auto-present. I could get it to pop open using the key fob, or by selecting it from the screen to open, just wouldn't auto-present. The car would unlock as I approached but wouldn't open.

I took it in for service, and they had to replace something that also required them to replace both key fobs, which I thought was odd. All under warranty so don't know the cost.

That’s the thing. I can’t find the feature in controls/vehicle etc…

I’m thinking since I have 2016 X maybe it’s not there?

I know when I first bought it a few weeks ago I would walk up and drivers door would pop open.

And when I walked away I think they would close and lock?

Am I dreaming or did something change?

Hi @Wesexcellence ,

Many things change...
Some settings change when your software is upgraded...

The setting you are looking for is "Automatic Doors."
It is located in the "Vehicle" tab on the controls...
It must be turned On for the driver door to open...

Does your car respond to the fob?
When you walk up to the car does it unlock???

If the fob works and the Vehicle setting "Automatic Doors"
is set on, and the door does not open - You need a Service Center visit.

I have had this problem too, it can be a Central Body Controller.
If they need to replace it, you will need to bring all of your fobs.
The fob registration information is kept in the Central Body Controller.
So, if it is replaced - The new controller will have to be updated
with your fob information.

Good luck,

Shawn

You need to click on settings then vehicle. It’s in there. See pic attached of my X. Turn on automatic doors and your good to go.
