Door Weather Stripping Came loose

Just did a quick wash and looked under the passenger door. The weather stripping is dangling for most of the length under the door. You would not notice it unless you bend down and look. Take a peak all around the car.

Not uncommon, had the same thing happen. This does the trick:

Same problem in our model 3. Mobile service fixed it

noticed it when the black adhesives were getting smudged on the bottom door. have a service appointment to change for all 4 doors.

Thought there would be others. Mobile service is supposed to show up Wednesday. Wonder how in the heck they will manage that. Forecast is for -13c with feel like -20c.

My drivers door had this problem, all I did is reseat it and pressed it firmly for a few minutes. That was back in Aug and so far it’s stayed in place.

My driver door did that. Mobile tech removed the entire seal and put a new one on, there was only 3 inch gap in the non-attached seal. The new seal doesn’t seam to be staying on much better. Original seal:

I just checked my doors and I have the same issue. It's not bad (similar to Barrygold) and the stripping seem like its in good shape.

I'll probably make a service appointment, but I'm considering getting some rubber adhesive and/or the primer Dennisis linked and fixing it myself.

My appointment was cancelled last minute as they are having difficulty getting the part. This leads me to believe there is a big problem with these coming loose and part is in high demand. Once again, bend down and check yours.

After 2 months of waiting for parts and rescheduling, I finally had the seals replaced on my driver door. I told them to just replace all 4, but the service center just reapplied the adhesive on the other three. Hopefully they will stay.

Mobile service came out and repaired it without issue.

Mobile service did mine also. Removed the old and installed a new one. Did only the door that had the loose weather stripping and all has been fine since.

How did you reseat it? Mine is sagging on driver door preventing it from shutting. Im waiting for roadside assistance

Curious. Did the seals actually fail/deteriorate, or just the adhesive?

I installed the RPMTesla Noise Reduction seal kit several weeks ago (excellent sound reduction!), but the adhesive is failing. It's hard to explain, but the adhesive sticks to the body part, and the seals, but the seals have stretched away from the body, with stringy adhesive showing, like pulled taffy.

Wondering what adhesive would work better in TX 104f heat???
