Double glass windows

I was under impression that 2022 M3 LR comes with double laminated glass windows on both the front and the back doors. Just picked up my car and found that laminated double glass windows are installed only on two front doors.

Was I wrong thinking otherwise?

You can't really know the exact date of when a change is implemented to a Tesla. Their changes aren't aligned with a model year, they just make changes whenever. Likely once they run out of single pane rear windows, they switch to the double pane.

Your only real option is to reject delivery and try again.

There have been zero reports of delivered rear laminated glass as far as I've seen. Not sure why'd you would think yours would have it other than just hope.

In China I think they are already shipping laminated rear glass on Model Y, but not sure about model 3

Would be nice to get some clarity about when this is coming

If you're that bothered by it look up the part number on the EPC when it becomes available (it might even be on there now) and order it & get it fitted. I'm almost certain from when this came up with the first cars that got the double pane glass that the door internals haven't changed to accomodate it, it's literally just the glass that's different.

Your car would’ve come from Fremont. There are sometimes interim differences between those and cars that come from Giga Shanghai, where all European cars come from currently.

model 3 always had laminated glass in the rear. would be unsafe otherwise.
