Download update while driving?

Hi,
not really a TM3 question only but since I it's an TM3 in my case I'll post in here. Is it possible for an update to download while you're driving? If I would hot-spot my phone, would it start downloading if an update was waiting for me or does the car have to be in park in order to download? Please note I'm not thinking about actually updating the software, only to download it.

A download can occur from where-ever. I mean a hotspot or cell or wifi. I don't think anyone would recommend you use a hotspot unless you have an unlimited data plan. It could be large. But yes, it could download and not begin to update until parked. And that's not unique to a Model 3.

WiFi works while moving. I use my Verizon unlimited hotspot when the Tesla LTE looses coverage. Works great while moving.

and I think he was right. But according to what Kurt and Silcon are saying it does. I guess know it used to not, like ewoodrick said, but I guess now it does. Must have been a change we didn't see at first.

Wifi disables when you first put the car in motion. Once you have it in "gear" you can re-enable it.
