Dr ColorChip - Has anyone used it?

How does the touchup paint blend with Deep Blue Metallic? Does anyone on here have experience using touchup paint on their Model Y?

I have a '22 MYP with less than 3k miles and I have a good 5-6 small rock chips across the hood and 1-2 on the front bumper. I purposely drive far from trucks too! I guess it's true that this water-based paint from Tesla is thin and combined with how downward the hood slopes, it's no surprise it's going to catch it all.

I have an appointment for a full DynoStek front end ppf from my reputable detailer, but I need to fill these pinholes in first and I wanted to know if any folks have used Dr ColorChip as opposed to the Tesla kit they sell on their site or if anyone has any tips on installation procedures with these cars?

I have used Dr Color Chip on all my cars including both Tesla's. My M3 is deep blue metallic and the touch up matches really well. The wife's MY pearl white isn't as close but they warn you when you purchase. The touchup on her car was not really visible and only for corrosion protection.

I have used TouchUpDirect.com products with my Model Y. TouchUpDirect has instructional videos that demonstrate how to use the paint kit for best results.

If it is too cold to apply paint then cover the area with automotive wax. Touch up once it turns warmer.

That doesn't look much different than DupliColor touchup pens that you can get at Wal-Mart and autoparts stores.
