Drain tube under carpet?

My 2013 Model S sunroof keeps leaking and it seems the only fix is to replace the top with a second gen top at around $4k. I've decided to disable the roof (pulled the fuse) and put a sheet of PPF over the entire roof. That should equal no more leaks and still look fairly good.

This last time my carpet got soaked really bad. I pulled the carpet back to let it dry out and found a black tube that comes from somewhere in the dash and terminates under the carpet. Doesn't connect to anything. It looks like a drain tube. It's the same on both the driver and passenger sides.

Does anyone know what it's for?
