I had this issue with my 18 M3LR with 80,000 miles living in Texas. Tried greasing it , noise came back after a month. Decided to pay Tesla to do the front upper control arms for $340 total in service. Completed this only to have them also recommend the following front suspension quoting $947 (parts and labour) at the service center, which I couldnt get done same day at service center Oct 11. Well when I made the appt for tomorrow at the other Austin service center the estimate went for exact same parts/estimate went up from $947 to $1484. I have an appointment and at this point pretty upset that Tesla is apparently charging me double the unit price for each part. I asked it be escalated to manager who said we cant honor the 1 week old price. I am going to probably just buy parts online and have a local shop do the work. Had a lot of faith and comfort in always taking it to Service center but guess need to shop around sometimes.
