I looked for a thread to post this on and could not find one. Has anyone seen an official warranty document for the recently announced drive train warranty? I have the battery warranty but have not found the drive train. I asked my DS about it and so far "crickets". Anyone have a pointer or the document?
Hasn't been updated to reflect this change yet. But the warranty should be on your Dashboard under Guides as Quick Start, Roadside Assistance, Safety, and Warranty. You probably should try ownership and not your DS at this point.
It is right on the spec page at the tesla site. See below. Warranty 4 year, 50,000 mile (whichever comes first) new vehicle limited warranty 8 year, 125,000 mile (whichever comes first)battery and drive unit warranty for 60 kWh battery equipped Model S 8 year, unlimited mile battery and drive unit warranty for 85 kWh battery equipped Model S Both battery warranties cover damage from improper charging procedures and battery fire, even if the fire results from driver error
That's the same link I already provided and it still hasn't been updated yet to reflect the drive unit changes.
