That's AWESOME news. Did you have to redeploy the firmware to match what was on the MCU with the motor?

Was that your total cost 7K? Also does anyone know if they have made improvements to that motor over the years?
The drive units have had many revisions, I think mostly bearing improvements. June 2017 the DU00/01 codes were added, probably to add the improved Model 3 inverter tech, but nobody knows for sure.

Well thanks for the info. I guess maybe I'm lucky if I have 9-17 build? I'm trying to decide if I should buy that damm extended warranty !!!

About the drive units, I called Tesla and asked them if they were to replace my motor what revision would you put in? They said they would be putting the “P” revision in the motor and have been using the P revision since 2016, I believe.
