Red Triangle. Performance limit and no regen braking,. Brought in. Rear drive unit replaced (P85D).

Anyone know the differences and whether they impact driving?

Old unit part #: 1002633-01-M

New unit part #: 1025598-00-T

By the way brought in Monday and car done Wednesday 8am. Thanks Tesla.

Old part number is for the original new part. The replacement part number is for a remanufactured part. Performance wise they are identical, longevity should be longer on the replacement unit since they have been rebuilding with updates to increase durability.

I am still waiting to see a drive unit pre DU01 option code replaced with a post DU01 motor. Guess we're still waiting. Am unclear on the DU01 actual motor differences, inverters maybe?

I just had a Model3 Drive Unit Replaced. Car made loud clunk and died. SC was great. Reading on the forum I noticed the Part Number for the DU should end with a letter. Everyone is stating M or beyond. Mine was an A. Should I be concerned?

I got replacement unit. Where is the part number tag?
SC said they gave me a brand new one because that's what they had in stock. It took them a few hours to change

I'm still on both original drive units on my P85DL after 115K miles. Starting to get paranoid they may last the full 8 years since I'm now driving 400 miles a month instead of 4000 / month.

How can you find out what the old unit part number is?

My DU is making sounds that I worry spell trouble, but the Tesla service people said they aren't loud enough. My warranty runs out at the end of the year, so I want to know whether the DU has already been replaced / is in the clear.
