Hey all! I'm goign to Seattle/Portland/Vancouver in April, hoping to stop by Mt Rainier/Crater Lake if possible. After researching it seems like snow chains are required - and looking through TMC/reddit it seems that stock AS perform poorly in snow? For those who drive in snowy conditions could you chime in:
1) I'm fine with AS going in April to these areas
2) I should get dedicated snow tires (any recs) --> note I'll be driving up from Cali the entire way
3) I should get *better* AS that perform better in snow (any recs)? One I found is this which is rated 3PMSF but not technically... snow tires? Shop CrossClimate 2 Tires - Unmatched Performance | Michelin
For those who've specifically been to these areas in *April*, which is at the tail end of winter season, do you think AS is fine? Should I prepare?
