Own another ICE vehicle in my life. My ‘18 RWD LR M3 handled the trip (two adults, 5 heavy suitcases and a few big bags of stuff).
The car handled a little rougher than usual due to all the weight being backloaded but other than that 1 gripe, it handled the trip effortlessly. After a while, after getting comfortable with the adjusted mileage (we lost about 10% range), I started mapping our path from supercharger to supercharger instead of following the nav so that we could make a few stops (ATL, Charlotte New Orleans).
Turns out 45 min stops are perfect for leg stretches, bathroom breaks and quick Netflix episodes. Yes, I run AC & Netflix while charging. The extra time is worth it.
Well, I’m an HTX M3 owner now. Garage charger being installed this week. I’m sure I’ll catch up with some of you eventually.
