Apparently a Quebec firm is planning to launch an electric car based on the Tomahawk kit car.

What's the point of an Electric Supercar that's slower than a Model S?

They're trying to position themselves against Tesla.

"Fastest sports car yet". With those specs? Seriously? Maybe they're trying to get away with it by saying the Model S is not a sports car and they're faster than a Roadster...

The max speed (for both) is so far below general Sports Car territory that it shouldn't even be counted as a metric.

Depends on your definition. You can get some great laps on most tracks without topping 160. Let them market. Looks interesting!

Except the Model S isn't under $150k, at least not the P versions in CAD.

Ugh. Looks like a fibreglass kit-car that a Batman fan would buy.

If I was in the market for something 'sportier' than the MS, I'd probably give this a swerve. Or more likely, put a chunk of the price into an electric conversion of something else instead.

Nice to see their interest in the EV market, but.... yuck.
