Just bought myself a brand-new set of Dunlop Sportmaxx RT tires for 222 EUR /each!
My Model S is the only 'performance' car I've ever owned so my experience buying tires has typically been limited to dealing with cars like a VW Golf or Toyota Yaris.
Honestly.. I don't know if I can tell the difference between cheap and expensive tires. Compared tothe previous set of Nokian winter tires, it feels no different to me, and I haven't really noticed any difference in energy consumption at all. The only thing I notice is slightly less road noise (all Winter tires seem to be a little noisy).
I had the option of buying some tires for less than half the price. Anyone have an opinion on this? Am I supposed to get a smoother, quieter, more energy efficient ride?
