Hi, just got my model Y December 8, 2021. In Canada, cool and rainy day. Temps hovering around freezing. Battery charged to 80%. I went for a drive, mix of city and highway. Drove about 56 kilometers or about 34 miles.
Battery showed 56% at the end, down 24% from the 80% start. Is this normal? At that rate I'd only get around 224 km/138 miles per charge. Seems very low

Is there a "settling" down period before things even out?

Give it far more than 2 days to adjust to your driving style, temperature, wind, speed, etc, etc!

If you are able to plug in the Tesla vehicle always precondition before driving. The cabin will be heated, the battery warmed as required without depleting the battery charge. Short drives are the least efficient, especially if you don't precondition before driving.

The other 100 threads and thousand posts on this exact topic would say that its almost assuredly normal.

Thank you all for your responses I am new to Tesla, EV and this forum. To be honest I couldn't figure out a search criteria to find what I was looking for.

I will be tracking my performance.
