    That is sortof the minimalist approach. When batteries are depleted you are in somewhat of a "limp mode" with such a small gas engine. Volt and Fisker have ended up with a much more powerful ICE.

    I saw that article too and just assumed it was an update on the same vehicle.
    I didn't realize they did a name change, or spin-off or whatever they did.

    It's the same one. It seems to have been Mindset for a while now but they just named it (or possibly re-named)the E-Motion recently. I don't know where "e-runner" came from.
