EAP to FSD upgrade down to $5,000 again

Sorry if this is dupe, but just saw the EAP to FSD drop on one of our MY’s to $5k.

This is to move from EAP to FSD. It was $7k as of last week (the last time I peeked at the Upgrade page). Maybe those with Basic AP can check to see if it’s back to $8k??

No EAP, just acceleration boost or FSD

What do you feel a fair price would be? (purely curious)

For comparison, I just looked at the Mercedes Benz site. The Driver Assist, Parking Assist and Dashcam packages, which offer about the same as basic AP, appear to cost about $2000.

My point was just to compare the cost of the features at purchase time. Judging y the Merc pricing, if they had anything close to FSD (they dont), it would easily be $10k, maybe more.

A fair price for what you get going from EAP to FSD? Honestly, there is nothing I would pay for.

You already have summon, lane change, autopilot,etc.

You get traffic light recognition at this point and not much else.

I think the majority of average users won’t get the beta version. Instead, they add the solid features being beta tested to new releases of FSD.

Yes I have. First off, it’s not available to the public. Second, it’s not going to be the evolutionary jump Elon is suggesting.

There are a ton of situations where it is simply not safe and makes poor decisions. These will not be “fixed” by the time it rolls out.

Why is it a question about today when the purchase is intended for what is to come. You are just securing things for a lower cost.
