Early 2016 cannot find answer

I have a musty smell and I am assuming the cabin air filter needs to be replaced. All of the filters I see listed say 2012-2015. Is the early 2016 the same ?

The second thing, I got the latest firmware update and tried to update my fob and it will not work. I tried holding it against the console under the lighter hole like it shows and it keeps failing. any ideas ?

the keyfob update only applies to the generation 2 fobs (started coming out in 2018). You can buy those from Tesla for around $300 each, but the gen1 fobs can't be updated.

Yes filter is the same, if you pop out the plastic on top of the frunk its on the left hand side, like a 5 min job.
