East coast car corrosion?

Hello!

So a MS that I'm looking at spent a few years in New York.

I'm wondering if Tesla has done anything that would alleviate the corrosion issues from heavy salting of the roads, or are they about the same as any other car?

Well…they built it mostly out of aluminum.

Other than that, no.

Lived on Cape Cod from 1990 through 2014 or so (still have a house there). Had several car, including a RAV-4 (2003) which I sold about three years ago. No corrosion on any of our vehicles that I could see. Every now and again washed them down, but it's hard to get under the body in any case with water spray.

Aluminium can corrode, indeed. Mine has 8y on canadian east coast and it's in great condition. You can get some rust on some bolts under the frunk or it can affect the steering rack.
