Hello

Thank you for reaching out to Tesla Motors Technical Support.

I have passed along your request for the Supercharger in the Ottawa area. At this time, I do not have any updates other than it is slated for this year.

Thank you for being a Tesla Customer.

Best,
Hunter

Canada's capital region needs a Supercharger!!! It is supposedly on the list (for 2016? 2017?) but it is needed ASAP!!!

Visiting Ottawa from Toronto - especially in winter - in my Model S becomes a problem as Kingston return is too far for a single charge - especially because everyone we visit with in the Ottawa area wants a test drive and there just isn't enough power for that and the return trip to Kingston. My wife was POed to have to sit at a 40A charger for 3+ hours just to get back to the SC in Kingston - she now won't drive in the MS to Ottawa until the SC is in place! We have to go in her ICE Audi which sucks!!!

What is the status of the SC? Can we get it sooner??? Thanks!!

I just tried Parry Sound and it works!! A worker just left after some final unwrapping. Perhaps he's headed to Hunstville.

I just checked Tesla's Website a few minutes ago, but it was not yet listing anything for Perry Sound on the Supercharger Page!
However - Based on your comment - I added a listing for this location on PlugShare - which also did not have a listing there yet:
Perry Sound, ON (Supercharger Placeholder) - Perry Sound, ON (Supercharger Placeholder) | Parry Sound, ON | Electric Car Charging Station | PlugShare

It may get - either Edited - or Deleted and Replaced, by Tesla and the PlugShare Team - at the Appropriate time, I presume!

Hmmmm..that was quick! The Posting seems to have disappeared from PlugShare in a very few hours since I added it!

I noticed yesterday that the Supercharger listing in the car included Parry Sound.
And....the PlugShare Listing has been (Re)Listed now: Parry Sound Supercharger | Parry Sound, ON | Electric Car Charging Station | PlugShare - since the one I added was '95074' and this one now is '95142'!

I had also added a Place Holder for the one at Huntsville - at 70 King William St, at the Huntsville Mall, using Tesla Model S HPWC & CHAdeMO - this a Title of - Huntsville Supercharger (Place Holder - Coming Soon) - but that is now disappeared from PlugShare as well! Since it has been dropped, maybe that means Tesla is also about to turn it on there and add the listing to PlugShare themselves as well?!!

Location - Huntsville Superchargers.

I got excited! I saw what looked like the Huntsville superchargers open. Plugged in and nadda. Called Tesla and they said it's probably permitting that's delaying the power from being turned on and until it shows up in my NAV system and on my map, assume it's not functional.

*i didn't read the ^ above messages, sorry if I duplicated any info. I haven't been on TMC for a few weeks. Those who recognize my username name, yes, I know I owe you guys updates about my MX now that I have it back from the SC (finally!!! - 2+ weeks later)

I was chatting with the folks at plug share about Parry Sound earlier today. Apparently they've been asked by Tesla not to list any super chargers that are not on the Tesla company website. And so I suspect they delete any that people put up.
But it is on the Tesla website, at least the "Today" page of the Tesla SuperCharger website. But if you believe the "2016" map then Parry Sound will be removed by the end of the year ;)

Good grief! In Ontario, any "permitting" would be long done at this point. I assume this is in Lakeland Power's service territory and all they would have to do is install revenue metering equipment and energize. They may need an ESA inspection and connection authorization, but again, this should already be done by now. Once the service is energized, it would be up to Tesla to be on site to initialize their equipment.

The meter was installed weeks ago.

I don't think they maintain those "2016" planned charger maps at all. I haven't heard of any action in either Sudbury or North Bay. if they were still looking at this year, it would be underway by now. Although, Parry Sound and Huntsville are more important I think, so I'm happy to see that.

I wonder if Tesla needs to hire a part time energy/utility consultant... just sayin' !
Nice reply Mike, always informative.

;)

Then we are probably just waiting for Tesla or their contractor to come and initialize the station. The electric utility simply supplies power to the demarcation point and it is up to the owner to "turn on their main breaker" if you will.
Still waiting as of today at 13:00. Blue plastic tape still on the plugs. Curbs nearby still not finished but would cause no grief to anyone and surely can't be the reason for the delay.tmp_22326-IMG_20160911_131850-1879661795.jpgMaybe next week ...
