BTW, in Martin refers to an interview her heard on NPR with the CEO or a carpet company. I'm pretty sure I heard that same interview and here's a link to it:

Ray has been covered on "green shows" more than once. Long ago i had him in our "should buy a Roadster" list since he sold his beloved Jag to buy a Prius.

I even gave Ray's company info to the Tesla sales guys but they were not nearly as aggressive back then.

The part where Martin mentions that he is working in the auto industry again is a revelation. He mentions working with engineering teams in Germany and Silicon Valley.

Ray buys a new Prius every year, and auctions off last year's model for charity. His wife drives a hybrid SUV, and he hates it; it's optimized for performance rather than economy, he says. So I don't think he's a natural customer for a Roadster. A Model S is a lot more like it.
