The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) is organizing a media and auto industry event called Eco Run Ottawa-Montreal next week. According to AJAC, "the event intends to demonstrate fuel-efficient solutions to the gasoline price crisis; including a broad spectrum of fuel efficient choices that are on the market right now. They include hybrids, EVs and other advanced conventional technologies." 22 fuel-efficient vehicles will be driven by journalists from Ottawa to Montreal, with stops in Montebello and Saint-Eustache.
There are 3 pure EVs among the 22 cars, but surprisingly no Leaf and no Model S.
The even is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 4 @ 10am at the NRCan headquarters at 580 Booth St., where Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver will make an announcement and wave the green flag to send the vehicles on their drive. It's an open parking lot.
