I can no longer edit a few day old post, which is the first in a thread. T

This makes it hard to maintain a thread. I understand maybe why you want to restrict the time table on editing, but this isn't great for thread starters maintaining a summary at the top of the thread.

It now has dead links to the media gallery where the image it linked to had to be deleted. It would be nice to be able to edit that and change it to the correct image:

Image to insert (the link called Before):

Can an admin make that edit, or enable editing of that post for me? Not being lazy here, just technically not possible for me to do it.

You can always hit the Report button and explain what you are trying to do on a post... mods have been helpful with that.
