They and it's not a dodgy colored nose cone, they've covered it in white duck tape or something.
Those photos appeared back in March, e.g. Tesla Model X spotted on Calif. roads
Pretty sure they've simply covered the nose cone in white duck tape or plastic film.

Their profile talks about the smaller battery Model S having a 208 mile range like it was written pre-70D, but also says first deliveries should be early 2016. Not sure what to make of it, but it mostly seems to be a bunch of fluff.
