Eemc fixed under warranty!

I just got this in email. I guess they are finally doing the right thing! Time to schedule my X to get fixed.

Has your eMMC failed? The details clearly say that they aren't proactively replacing the eMMC, they will only repair it if it fails in the 8-year/100k mile period.

It just recovers repairing the MCU1. (Using essentially the same 64 GB eMMC that is in the MCU2.)

I scheduled a service visit the moment I got this email, since we have been experiencing the blank screen intermittently for months now.

However, the tech got back to me and said they "didn't see any problems on their end" and wanted dates and times for previous failures.

Of course I don't have those - so they canceled the appointment until I do. Bit of a bummer but hopefully they'll eventually fix it under this program.

They should as long as it "fails" with-in the 8-year/100k mile extended warranty period. (Starting from the date of delivery.)

Just repairing the MCU1. Just free of charge if you are within the 8 year/100k mile extended warranty period. (And with essentially the same 64 GB eMMC that is used in the MCU2.)
