Please mark your calendars for Sept 21st for Electric Avenue, the largest EV event in Atlantic Canada. Historically this event has been organized by Nova Scotia Power, starting this year Next Ride (
nextridens.com) will be organizing the event. This year is shaping up to be a great one with Steele Autogroup participating in a major way and with Nova Scotia Power coming in as the main sponsor.
So far we have these EVs available for test drive:
- Jaguar I-Pace
- Audi e-Tron
- Chevy Bolt
- Hyundai Ioniq
- Mitsubishi Outlander
We have one very exciting addition this year, anyone who test drives an EV or goes for a ride along will automatically be entered to
win a weekend getaway at a resort with an electric Jaguar!
We are still working out details on the BBQ, if it will be free or if we will bring food trucks instead.
What can you do?
- Volunteer at the event- we will need help at the test drive sign up booth and for general tasks like set up and tear down
- Display your EV
- Offer to take visitors on a ride-along in your EV. Your EV must be insured, safetied and be in good running condition. Participants would join you as a passenger in your vehicle(after signing a liability waiver) on a 5-10 min test loop. We are looking specifically for EVs that are not available for test drive i.e. Leaf (gen 1&2), Volt, Kona, Niro, Soul (gen 1&2) and many Teslas!!
- Help promote the event.
To volunteer and to display your vehicle please sign up here:
Electric Avenue September 21st 2019 - Volunteer Registration Please note that the first question states “test driving” that was a typo, it is for ride-alongs. Because of our insurance system in NS, we can not let the general public drive your vehicle.
Any questions? Please reach out to Michelle Ryder, our event coordinator:

If anyone can roll on up for this, it's sounding like we'll be light on Teslas this year.
