Hi,

Another video:

Liveforphysics Luke's new Ebike, 80mph passes, Cedric Lynch riding, and burnouts!Uploaded on Jun 25, 2011
My new ebike build.
We built the entire bike from scratch. We used 4130 DOM CroMo tubing and TIG welded the frame together. The battery is HobbyKing LiPo, the controller is a 400amp 120V Kelly, the motor is a sealed BLDC golden motor.
An article here (scroll down):
#1 Liveforphysic’s “Death Bike” 80-MPH
Liveforphysics, tired of frying fragile and lightweight RC motor setups, has discovered a magical combination of massive axial flux motors intended for E-motorcycles, Sevcon controllers, and Nano-Tech Hobby King LiPos strapped onto a custom built non-suspension frame. He is achieving speeds never seen before on an electric bike, all the while keeping his bike’s weight down under 200lbs. My favorite video of his is of the first carnation of the “Death Bike” which he built (in 7 days time) specifically to win a race I was putting on last summer called the “San Francisco Hill Climb”. Here is the crash that ensued and was caught on camera.

“Pinky” was sold and shipped to a wealthy Hong Kong business man and Liveforphysics would go on to build faster and more powerful versions of what he would now call the “Bicycle of Doom” culminating in track recorded speeds of 80-MPH and cranking power levels far exceeding 100,000 watts (not a misprint !!!). LFP would win a few races, but is known more for smoking countless electric motors on race day. Says him: “I do tend to lean on things a little harder than most folks.
Liveforphysics now works for Zero electric motorcycles, and was instrumental in building the 100-mile range 2012 Zero battery pack. In his off time, LFP’s passionate hobby is building the fastest electric bikes (with pedals) on the planet. He is #1 on our list of most influential E-bike people. In his spare time he rides around town on his beast which he claims is mild mannered, efficient, and controllable when not pinning the throttle wide open. Liveforphysics is a brash display of electric bike technology…and a breath of fresh air in a community dominated by more conservative and slower thinkers.

Interesting tidbit here:
Endless-sphere.com View topic - 20 inch full suspension street build (now with twin motors)

How Matt can check to see how his twin motor ebike with 400 amps at about 50v max (20kw) would compare:

Luke is in a league of his own. I think I am around 60% of his power to weight ratio. He would kill me for sure.

If you want a bench mark that is easy to compare, find an 1/8th mile flat stretch and see if you can exceed 108mph in that 1/8th mile from a standing stop.

If you do, then I will be more inspired to finish the 2x power increase version.

I decided to add a couple of pics of Matt's ebike:
