Efficiency is nice but cost is way more important. You need efficiency only when there is limited space i.e. not very often.

Those cells are still silicon based so mass production will be plagued with same problems 'standard' silicon cells have.

I therefore put much more hope into nanosolar massproducing solarpanels like printing newspapers. I do not care if they have only one third efficiency as long as they cost 10 on 20 times less. I do have space but I do not have much money.

Tesla Batteries used as storage for solar panels. This could be an application for used batteries for Roadster or other EVs, although currently they are evaluating new packs it seems.
