Elon at new Tesla Store in West London 7 minute video on BBC News

Noticed that in the last topic of the interview (the James Bond Lotus sub he purchased) Elon dropped the hint that he wants to see if it (turning the Lotus into a mini-sub) can be done for real. A low priority project he says - is this a harbinger of Tesla EV boats and submarines? :)

At the end of that interview he discusses buying the original 007 submarine Lotus Esprit and his back-burner plans to actually see if he can make it work.

But using the original film car as the basis for a EV submarine experiment would horrify millions of 007 fans. Surely he'd generate huge respect by preserving the original film car and instead, make up a working prototype from another base car ??? The net cost would be less, and the net worth of both would be more !

And Elon, if you're reading, I know of a Lotus hoarder with a complete NOS unused Lotus Esprit 'shell' for you to start with and every other part you could ever wish for !!

Its a fine interview - but it was first aired on the 25 October 2013 - the best thing is when the interviewer compares the California High Speed rail project to Britains High Speed Rail project and Elon just laughs and sez "Oh dear How unfortunate"... Indeed Elon
