* Notably, no timeframe given. Oh, Elon...
Looks like 10.4 probably won't have the improved object permanence with the current release notes:

That type of improvement seems like it would require significant improvements ("rewrites") as shown at AI Day, so maybe as part of FSD Beta 11.

Overall, the various "major" FSD Beta releases had various "rewrites:"
- 1: introduce MultiCam (birds-eye-view) specifically for predicting road layout, e.g., sharp turns and intersections
- 9: introduce Vision-Only / Video Module specifically for predicting moving object positions & velocities
- 10: introduce Feature Queue (spatial memory) specifically for predicting Lanes, e.g., saw left-turn arrow earlier
- 11: ? introduce temporal memory Feature Queue for object permanence
- ? also continuously uprevving to newest stack (multicam video spatial & temporal memory) various feature detections, e.g., moving objects, static objects, road signs, road markings, traffic lights

No mention of use turn signal before moving into right/left turn lane. It just move into a turn lane, then close to half way it turns the signal on...will see.

Hope they fixed the following distance and braking earlier/smoother...really annoying. Makes it nearly undrive-able.

Isn’t that what item #4 is?
The item referring to static obstacle control and static object network? I suppose that could get some object permanence with that uprev, so maybe better driving through construction areas, but typically "static objects" refers to things like cones and trash cans (and not so much of moving objects that happen to be stopped). The context of the original tweet was more of visualization showing other cars temporarily disappearing as they drove out of view.

So, you are basically disengaging when the steering wheel jerks ... may be we should all do it and send reports on every turn, till they fix it.

Yes - no reason at all for the right turns to be jerky. If they are worried about hitting the curb, the car should drive straight a bit before turning - not jerk to the right and then left and then right and ...

With 10.4, the one right turn I did from stop was especially bad. The car crept in to the road (no obstructions, so no need to creep really) and then jerked quite a bit before making the turn and ending up correctly in the middle of the lane.
Completely agree on starting to drive straight and then gradually turn right. The dry turning and then unwinding is such a weird concept. Like the reverse of what humans do when they drive.

Elon tweets that he hopes to release FSD Beta V10.5 in about 10 days to people with scores of 98 and above
Unclear if that means 10.5 won't target public rollout Friday November 19th or that the extra couple days includes the gradual rollout to existing FSD Beta before adding 98s. If FSD Beta 11 comes 2 weeks after that, that'll be December 3rd or about 4.5 months since first mentioning Beta 11 single stack:

It seems practical that most of the 10.x improvements avoid duplicate/conflicting efforts with 11 likely already retraining core perception. So we've been getting things like FSD driving profiles, speed bump visualizations, specific behaviors for high speed roads that will still be useful with a single stack.
