The not so good news is that European deliveries have been moved back again. First deliveries were planned for June, this has now become July (start op production has even moved from March to June!). This must be caused by the different specifications for the European market. The good news is that, as Elon says, production of US cars will be delayed somewhat (this summer?) to make up for the delay and still get many European cars delivered in 2013.

My fault! I shouldn't have been bitching so much about 3-phase ;)

But again, I just want my car in this year to still be able to have all the tax incentives our great (..) government has in place.

My R231 will probably be on my drive-way somewhere in October I guess.

Maybe even quicker as I understood US production will be interrupted for some time to make a batch European cars.

Supercharger announcement was a nice one too..

Or, perhaps, even better ... 1 or 2 SC's will "arrive" before the car? Kinda like being built in secret in CA? (True the car was already out but ...)

Think how much more we would have been salivating had they shown the SC's in California months ahead of the cars first deliveries?

guys, do you know if Elon has a public schedule? I would have been in Geneva today if I knew he would give a speech there... Any ideas on how to "track him down" ?! :)

The red car he's standing in front of looks so red! Like a fire engine.
The sample in the USA stores looks far darker to me.
Compare this to the Avery color for wrapping ...

page 3 ... Cherry Red metallic ... if you put that color swatch up to the "new" red it looks almost identical.
Likewise the Burgundy looks like Signature Red.
Is it the lighting at the show?

Also interesting to hear Elon mention 120 kilowatts for the superchargers. That's more than previously stated. Het also says this will create a 50-60% charge from zero in less than 30 minutes.

If Tesla can get these superchargers in place in Europe at strategic locations this year, it will mean a serious selling point for many european customers! This could mean 'normal' driving speeds on the german autobahn and other highways and make longer road trips easily possible. I expect reservations in Europe to increase significantly once the superchargers start appearing.

As I understand it, the superchargers are 120 kW, but only go to full power when sharing between two cars (two cars per charger). Maybe they've been able to push that so a single car can take the full 120 kW???

Thank for sharing our first video about Elon's speech during Press Conference.

We are currently editing the Q&A section as it was a bit messy at the show for some of the questions.

It should be available later today, we will post the link here as soon as it is online!

Kind regards,
