Just watched Elon on This morning's CNN GPS show. He talked about Spacex and the upcoming launch tomorrow, but I was most interested in his reactions to the Tesla fire issue. He is obviously very worked up over the amount of attention and reporting this issue has gotten lately. But as with anything this new, disruptive and successful to date I don't think all the piling on by the press and shorts is unexpected. AS always though I love watching Elon in action....quirks and all!
Found a link to it. Tons of ads for very short interview with Elon. Elon Musk on Fareed Zakaria GPS show
I like his closing comment, on the media attention to the Tesla fires (my paraphrasing): "New tech that's disruptive can have a spotlight shining on it, but it shouldn't be a laser".
Looks like he wants to really get livid but has to contain the anger. Anyone have a record of the full interview?
ZAKARIA: When do you think you'll be able to achieve the aspiration of SpaceX of actually moving people to a place like Mars? MUSK: Well, I think we could probably send the first person in about 12 years. ZAKARIA: Will you be that person? MUSK: Only if I'm confident that SpaceX will be fine if I die. That's, you know, maybe if I was confident that the mission would continue if I wasn't around then I would do it. Thanks for the transcript, claytorg. It was much easier to deal with than 3 seriously edited clips with advertising.
