    Good post.

Although I've watched a ton of Elon videos, so a lot of what was said was repetitive, I think it may be the first time I hear about him being interested in artificial intelligence and the next "biological" step in evolution for humanity. Very cool.

    Thanks for posting.

What I found very interesting about that discussion, is that he acknowledged that these two areas have a significant possibility of negative unintended consequences, and hence he triaged them out.

Elon Musk was 22 years ago already convinced that all vehicles would go electric, that was super obvious for him he says. Wow

And electrical planes are probably not that far away actually ("the higher you go, the better and more efficient the electric aircraft is"). That's great

@ 27.29 Steve Jurvetson recalls a conversation he had with Larry Page, Larry says "if I were to be hit by a bus today i should leave all my money to Elon Musk"...Elon's reaction is priceless.

Electric vehicles were about 20% of vehicles on the road 100 years ago before gasoline quashed them. it's about time for a comeback.

Personally, I think the best part was "...we trademarked SEXY."

  10. Larry Page in an interview at the TED conference last week restated that instead of giving it to a philanthropic organization, he'd rather hand over his cash to Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and SolarCity.
