Why Barstool? Probably because it is targeted to helping small business? Is there something else behind your question?

I'd say Barstool because of his brother, as well as his own efforts to start multiple businesses. His first one being Zip2, and definitely a small one. I'd say now because it's a new tax year.

My question to @Nuclear Fusion was because it seemed a random statement, that only vagally had connection to Musk's recent actions.

Whaaaat? You mean this isn't real?? Childhood illusions, shattered.

Yes, that's what many stock rich billionaires do and when you think about it, it makes perfect financial sense for them. Elon would be poorer today if he had sold Tesla stock as he needed it for living expenses, rather than borrow against it paying, say 4% per year.

I've secretly always wanted a vault like that ever since I saw that comic as a kid...

Elon probably borrowed against his stock to buy his Bel Aire homes, which he has sold or are selling now. He made money on all those houses, which probably could pay off the loans without touching his stock.

I assume everyone read the article about Bernie:

Elon Musk's net worth attacked by VT Senator Bernie Sanders - TESLARATI

I couldn't believe how many Elon apologists there were in the comments, even though Elon didn't need defending. They were attacking Bernie because he owns more houses than Elon!!!

Bernie was just pointing out how much richer the rich are and that the minimum wage has stagnated for more than a decade, but everyone acted like they were coming for our Teslas. Sheesh folks, don't act crazy like the Trumpers

I don't want to have to defend your statements as being what Tesla Fans say. I know, this isn't Teslarati, and I appreciate the much cooler heads here, I just don't know what is going on over at that site.

I like Bernie, but he is barking a the wrong person to go after Musk. Better to poke at Jeff Bezos who doesn't pay a majority of his workers a living wage, nor stock benefits, unlike Musk who is Tesla.

He's only doing it to pander to his own base, and using an easy recognizable figure to do it.

Long overdue for Tesla... Tesla is hiring people to address complaints to Elon Musk on Twitter (electrek.co)

Tesla is hiring new customer service people to address complaints sent by customers to Elon Musk on Twitter. If you want to work from home and look at Elon Musk’s @ replies on Twitter all day, Tesla has the perfect job for you. The automaker is listing a new remote customer service job and as part of the role, Tesla wants the candidate to address “social media escalations directed at the CEO”:

“The role of a specialist is to resolve or escalate complaints through appropriate channels and address social media escalations directed at the CEO with critical thinking. Deliver on Tesla Measures of Excellence, perform other duties and assignments including administrative, special projects.” While the description mentions “social media,” CEO Elon Musk is known to primarily use Twitter.

Does any other car manufacturer do this?

I think that Fred said it best... Tesla is hiring people to address complaints to Elon Musk on Twitter (electrek.co)

"I’ve often shared my thoughts on Tesla’s communications in the past. I think they are poor and one of the company’s biggest weakness. Reliance on social media like Twitter is also a bad idea long term, in my opinion. I’m not saying that someone with this position within Tesla wouldn’t be valuable, it probably would, but there’s a lot more they could on the communication front that would be more efficient than looking at Elon’s replies.

When it comes to customer service, Tesla is not only competing with other automakers, but it’s also competing with car dealerships, which we all agree have their negative aspects, but one of their main advantages is that they offer regional customer service. I think that Tesla would do better by investing in hiring more general customer service specialists at their centers to provide a better experience locally. Also, a PR department to respond to media inquiry would be a good start."

interesting interview with Elon Musk

Thanks for posting. Sandy continues to make the mistake of talking too much, but he did keep quiet long enough to get some interesting information out of Elon. Imagine the information we would get if an engineer who didn't like telling stories were to interview Elon. I can only dream.

At least Sandy knows his stuff and was able to delve into areas of design and production that no one else would be able to ask.

interesting interview with Elon Musk

CNN reported on this interview on their website today. I like Sandy Munro, he caught flak from both sides with his breakdown of the M3, but as an engineer I agree with him.

I also agree with Elon that the original Model S seats were awful. I got the cloth seats which were still on the old frames when I bought the car and paid to upgrade to leather a few months later. Driving for any time with those seats left me with pains up and down my back.
