- And also - 'throwing Canadians a bone' will enable an additional quarter of the Americans getting a tax rebate.
Those Canadians have served to ensure any US buyer who takes delivery 7/1-12/31 gets the full tax credit.
Well this throws a wrench into my plan for a P100D model S this October.
I cant wait to see the specs for the AWD performance version. They might need to restrict the P version so it does not make the model S look bad....
Truly an honorable sacrifice by our neighbors up north...
How much for the performance model option 10k? And 3k for AWD?
I would hate to be one of the current group that has a car configured and being delivered in the next few weeks that jumped and ordered the RWD LR because they couldn't get an idea of when the AWD or P was going to be announced...
Or announce a bigger pack for the S......
Now how long until we get the first "Tesla is terrible, I just ordered yesterday and they won't let me change my order"
A bigger battery would not make me feel better when I get beat...
Well, if you're a Canadian who hasn't configured yet....you might want to consider it.

I need to get a test drive before I order, I need to see if the car will get into my driveway without scraping. My Prius scrapes if I'm not careful pulling into or out of the driveway.
From the engineering review of the RWD car, all of the mounts and front suspension components are already configured to have the front motor. This is a bit of and oversimplification but all they will have to do is add the front motor assembly and associated harness and hoses and off you go.Talk about not complicating the production line... this will get interesting...
