I believe there are going to be a lot of people let down by the upcoming announcement and I wouldn't anticipate anything major. Why? Think about the M3 unveiling and other major announcements, they are always done in grandiose ways with press invites, etc.

I've got it! The new product is the launch of Tesla Shaving Club, where you can order razors and blades online. They include the industry leading Autoshave function (but you have to keep your hand on the razor at all times). Then there's the Model X razor aimed at women customers. It features a Falcon-wing mechanism to simplify blade replacement.

Elon hasn't been shaving of late because he wants to demonstrate the effectiveness of his razor live during the announcement. The Musk aftershave that some have speculated also may be featured today.
