Emission Control Sticker Date?

My 2021 MIC Model 3 Standard Range + has an emission control sticker near the trunk button that notes a model date of 2017. Is this an indication of when the battery was manufactured or something else? I read about a group of vehicles that used 2017 batteries and were sold as demo units with reduced range. The purchasers were notified but that wasn’t the case when I purchased my car. Thanks!

I believe it’s the date the final design of Model 3 was certified as a zero emissions vehicle. Think the sticker is the same on all Model 3s and has nothing to do with battery, range, or assembly plant.

Kind of surprised they haven’t updated it but guess zero is zero.
