Anyone know if tesla offers any end of lease specials such as excess mileage forgiveness if you lease another model s? Lease is through Tesla Finance

I tried calling the sales department and couldn’t get an answer.

My lease ends in 10 months and would love to lease a new model s, however I’m looking at a penalty for excess miles which if I have to pay I might as well buy the car

Yeah I’m looking at at least 20k miles extra! Who knew the car was going to be so fun to drive :)

At .25 I’m facing a 5k fine. Not too bad, depending on what new features come out I might pay it and lease another one.

What they will do, is make an adjustment on the trade in value of the lease return, if you’re getting into another lease or buy. This eliminates the needs for people to buy out, recapture the value and trade.

Some of the cars are worth quite a lot more than the residual... even on trade.
