End of Quarter deals - honored if Tesla fails deliver by EOQ?

I think all of the Tesla operations are getting overwhelmed by the heavy volume. I picked up my car this past Saturday but financing paperwork was not available until the morning of my delivery appointment. Repeated attempts to get updates from the Delivery Specialist were unanswered. She even had an auto-reply email saying due to heavy volumes response times may be impacted. Still ended up getting the car as planned so all is good.

Have you explored picking up the car either where it is currently or at a much closer SC to reduce travel time? You'll have to deal with the multi-state tax issue, but it generally works out. Since you'43 in California you can't avoid CA tax anyway, and most other states will waive sales tax to an out of state purchaser.

Actually - I moved my pickup about 400 miles closer to the current car but the dealer still has no idea when I the car will arrive.

Today my delivery specialist stated that he confirmed that I must execute the documents, make payment and have the car in my possession my month end - even though the inability to deliver is all a Tesla issue.

I emailed Tesla NA sales the same question last Thursday with no response.

So I will fly to Denver sign up the car and put it on my personal carrier and fly home.

I offered to fly out in the morning and pick it up tomorrow but they said that it will not be ready for pickup until Thursday - the system truly defies logic.

I am just seeing this thread but I have been told my lease deal is being honored because Tesla screwed up and couldn't get my car ready in time. I have it in writing from my OA, Inside Sales, and Corp Finance. My car was not sitting at a store though, it was being used internally by Tesla's attorneys in Michigan so this was their fault listing the car and not being able to get it from the attorneys.

I will likely need to fly to Chicago to pick up, I had offered that originally to meet the deadline. I asked them to ship to me in Tampa for free so they are working on that. If I need to fly to Chicago we will make a nice road trip out of it.

Oh - one last gem - always great to see when you are 100 miles from the nearest charger of any sort..... I then definitely gave myself an extra 15-20% after notified that I had charged enough to make it to the next supercharger... It was a damn fun trip.
